If you love live music, you may want to make a date with the Beverley Folk Festival (usually June) or the Beverley and East Riding Early Music Festival (usually May) and catch some of Britain's best live performers. These two festivals are not to be missed. There’s also the Beverley Chamber Music Festival featuring internationally renowned soloists, string quartets and chamber ensembles. Beverley Art Gallery is located in the heart of the town. It’s a fine example of a purpose built Edwardian Art Gallery and the only arts heritage facility of its kind in East Yorkshire. It has the largest collection of works by celebrated local artist, Frederick Elwell. It also hosts temporary exhibitions and themed exhibitions.
